Header, button, rating system: Reviews by Molly

Hey guys!
I'm happy to tell you I've completed another commission, for the lovely Molly over at Reviews by Molly. As my first customer since the prices remix, I'm happy to say she was a joy to work with. We had some great brainstorming going on, I tell you.
She wanted a new header for her lovely book blog, a blog button to match it and a rating system to match any theme, basically. { Which is a good idea unless you're cool with hiring someone to build a new one for every new theme, by the way. That's just some friendly advice :) .}

The original plan for the image changed, and I'm happy we went with this other concept instead. I like the mix of vector art and real elements, plus the historical mesh feel of this is awesome if you ask me. And yes, this is yet another print screen, it's sexy admit it :D

Once we had the header all figured out, she did an awesome job adjusting the rest of her theme to the header's color scheme, and I'm really loving this light look. The rating system was cool too, you need to head on over to her book blog and read a review to see it in action sometime during the next few days.

So yeeey for a job well done :D

And since I mentioned it above, I'll give you a full run on the changes in my prices. I've separated out the graphic from the code-smexy part of a theme, and listed all extra elements I could think of. This way, you guys can get a mix and match of whatever fix you need for your theme. I mean, a whole new theme is of course what I'd advice just for the little things (or bigger ones, depending on how much code-savvy you are) that can go freaky on you, but you can spruce up your look with a new this or that instead, you know?

It's all listed on my Products & Prices tab in the above drop-down menu, or in the pages menu in the sidebar. If you want me, I'm all yours! xD

P.S.: After working for a fabulous theme for someone, the commission ended up being canceled, and the theme ended up on my book blog instead :D Face it, you love the puffy blue galore of my new and smexed up Butterfly-o-Meter Books . You know what the problem is, when you can do design work for blog themes you'll always but always itch to redo your own blogs most likely. Especially the book blog suffers my creative tsunamis, this theme over here is doing just fine. Hmmm... I wonder why? lol.

On to the next!

Blogger Theme: The Seraphine Muse Blog

You have been missing me, haven't you? Well have no fear, my fabulous self is back in designing work yet again! Today I'm going to brag talk about a sort of beautiful new theme I've just finished working on, and I'm proud to say it looks sort of sexy even to me :D

The Seraphine Muse Blog - Kasonndra Leigh

For any of y'all who don't know, this is the blog of my friend and author Kasonndra Leigh. Check out the sexiness of her new theme :

I had a blast making this theme because it gave me the chance to have more Photoshop fun for the header, as you can see it's a bit different from the ones I've done so far. It's more similar in style to the one I did for The Katalina Room Wordpress theme a while back, only a bit more fantasy then that. I loved putting this together, really.

The theme includes the custom made header, background and sidebar headers, a post signature AND about the author box, social media buttons, a blog button with grab code, custom fonts and the overall sexiness of the color scheme. It's one of my more lush, richer themes, more glitzy then others, more feminine somehow. Loved making this one, totally did!

K and I were totally on the same page from the beginning regarding the look, style and feel of the theme, her vision for her blog and my vision for it came together beautifully. The smaller details of the theme took a bit more time then it usually takes me because K is such a busy wonder woman, being a mom and working on her writing all at the same time, plus getting little pestering emails from me in the middle of the night (I think? Time zones are awful things!), but hey, in the end we pulled it off and I'm very excited to say she loves her new theme. That's what makes me truly happy when working with someone, the fact that in the end they say those two magic words:

"Love it!"

That's what I truly love the most about this whole thing. Of course it can't always be such an awesome collab, but I find it often times is, because my clients often end up becoming my friends and they refer their friends to me, and like-minded people tend to stick together, you know? So I end up making new friends with each new job, and I am loving that a lot :D

Anyways, now I'm working on some more sticker galore for my lucky charm subscribed client Ali, lol, she's the absolute queen of stickers I tell you! I love her to bits, she even admitted I've made a sticker addict out of her, haha. She's totally heart!

And starting Monday, I'm working on a new theme, one of a style I sort of didn't do yet and I literally can't wait to sink my teeth in it xDD You know many theme designers tend to work out a "signature look" that they can give you, a specific visual style that, for the knowing eye, is easily recognizable? Well I aim to be the kind of theme designer who can pull decent jobs for all kinds of styles more then specialize in a particular one, on all sorts of color schemes and looks.
I'm very happy I have managed so far to do a few different styles of themes, as you all know from my book blog probably, I'm a huge fan of diversity. So thanks guys for giving me the chance to work on so many different looks, I love every moment of it!

Oh, and, I'll be making an announcement in a couple hours, so stay tuned for that :D

On to the next, then!
xD

Stickers Galore: Ali's Bookshelf

So, you guys remember the lively theme I did for Ali's Bookshelf, right?

Well, my darling Ali ( <3 ) has become something of a stickers addict, and I'm feeling very proud to be her dealer xDDD I'm really looking forward to showing off her stickers xDDD, because they're sort of fabulous and I totally need to brag talk about them :D

So this here is a little collage of them, click to see the image in full size. But you can see them live in all their funky glory on her blog, with each meme and feature she's doing :D And I have a feeling I'm about to do a couple more, and it makes me sort of uber-happy.
These are sort of my favorite things to do :D

Showing love, Ali hon, showing love!

:D

Blogger Theme: The Magic Attic

Hey guys!
Bragging time again :D You know you wanna know about it, I can see it in your eyes. Aaanyways, I did 2 things this week and I'm loving them both.

1. The Magic Attic - Blogger Theme

This one was my first minimalist theme, with dark colors. I love dark colors, well I love all colors but I totally love doing new things. Check it out:

I really like these themes with widgets in the header section, I don't know why but I'm totally loving them. I'm happy Bree liked the theme, and I hope she'll have fun using it.

Though it is minimalistic-style, I did do the header, social media icons, a post signature/post divider, a blog button, rating system and a few post stickers, Bree's blog has a lot of activities going on :D Go check it out for yourself and see everything live.

There's one thing that I'd like to mention, and that is that themes like this one that have more color coding them image inserts in them load a lot faster then others very rich in graphics. When you have a lot going on on your blog, you might want to consider the loading time. Just saying :)

2. Belle Books - Rating system & Blog Button

The lovely Emma told me she'd like a rating system and a blog button that would showcase her love for the anime style. Again, a first for me, and me being a total anime otaku (xDD), I had a heap of fun making these:

See them, on the right? Pink & yellow baby, all the way :D

Though I often make the rating system, blog button and such matching the themes I do, it's not a must that they'd be all matchy-matchy, then can go together well without having theme elements incorporated. It all depends on how you like your stuff, in the end.

Anyways, on to the next, right?
:D
