Wordpress Customization: Custom Community for Victoria Pinder!

Today we're talking about the awesome new place of romance author Victoria Pinder (aka Greta Buckle).


She got a Basic Wordpress Customization with a Custom Header and some plugin setup. I'm happy to say I've instigated her to walk into the freedom of Wordpress.org and she's loving her new spot so far. And so do I. Take a looksie...

We used the awesome theme Custom Community as basis for her new look. I personally love the theme, it allows you to set things up very elegantly and has kickass functions like the incorporated slider, for instance.

We used version 1.15 , but I admit I tweaked it a bit and replaced some of the files with those from the previous version of the same theme, there were things that didn't work well in the current version and that did work well in the previous one. If you're planning to use it, I advise using the 1.14 version right now until the new fixes will be available. I recommend this theme wholeheartedly either way, it has awesome features, a very elegant Theme Options menu and it can be customized to high heavens without hardcore coding.

I loved working with Vicki and I'm very happy with the results, especially since she is too. She was even gracious enough to talk about it here, so go over to her place and enjoy the place to its full potential.

Wordpress Customization: Books with Bite!

Today I'm thrilled to talk about an intervention (lol) customization for Savy's awesome place, Books with Bite.

She had a theme she loved the functionality of, AzSimple, but she wanted it to look more like her place. And she was really awesome to work with because she knew what she wanted and we got there real quick.
You know me, I love efficient work and making people smile :D

It must be said that Savy got the Basic Wordpress Customization, so that very very awesome header you see there is the work of her very talented graphic artist husband. That logo he came up with is genius, and it worked with the rest of the theme like a charm.
Savy also got a Facebook banner and Youtube channel art to go with the new look. Stop by her places and check it out for yourselves.

Blogger Theme: The Reader's Refuge

Today we're talking about a first for me: the first dog character I've done for a theme, and a bulldog in our particular case. I had a lot of fun working on this, and I loved Alyssa's idea. She came up with this awesome browns/maroons color scheme idea too, I really like people who know what they want. And I love animals, and I super-love working with browns (black&brown are my favorite colors, I must confess).

Blogger Theme: Vicariously! the Re-ReMix :D

And we're talking about my awesome friend Beck's new look today. Vicariously! has gone through some changes since last time, and I hope we're all going to welcome Beck back to us with open arms. I know I am :)
To celebrate her return, she wanted to revamp the blog, make it colorful, lively, hipster-esque with a touch of her awesome personality. And I think we managed to do just that.

I'm loving the new owls, I'll let you know when she names them! xD

Beck got a Basic Blogger, a custom header, a post signature, 3 post stickers and a rating system. You'll see it all in its glory when she starts using the new stuff, so be on the lookout for new content from Beck. (I love and miss you sweets!!)

I'm delighted to tell you about Cece's new look over at her blog, Cecilia Robert.
